Christmas Day Boxes 2025 Menu & Information

Having a young family ourselves, it is very important to us that we spend time with our children, family and friends on this special day, and we want our hard working Team to be able to do the same, that is why we do not open on Christmas Day at all, but we can still cook for you! We like to make memories on Christmas Day not dinner!

We did our first Christmas Eve collection for Christmas Day back in 2020, out of necessity for the business and to still try and spread a bit of Christmas cheer and normality to our customers in the difficult time during Lockdown. Some could cook but didnt want to and some couldn’t cook at all-so we decided to come up with a plan to help! This is when our Christmas Day boxes were born! Since then we have been doing this for our family every Christmas and its brilliant to be able to do what we want when we want, no timing this, that and the other, just time to chill.

Our Christmas Day boxes have been a HUGE success since we launched them and our orders have grown year on year. Our customers even ask to be put on our Christmas Waiting List for the next year-some as early as Christmas Day when they have just devoured our gorgeous food!

We all wished we had more time on the most magical day of the year, more time seeing our kids and grandkids unwrap their prezzies, more time to see family and friends instead of stressing over how long the turkey will take, juggling ten thousand pots and pans, not to mention courses, -THE COURSES…how many of us have forgot about dessert or that cauli cheese thats still in the oven lol! ?

Wouldn’t it be nice to sit down with that glass of bubbly or cuppa char without hours of missing out on whats important by going backwards and forwards into the kitchen! How many hours have you spent peeling, chopping, stuffing and washing up said ten thousand pots and pans all while watching everyone else enjoy their Christmas? Too many I imagine!

This year make it your year, your year to have someone else cook for you! Your year to relax and enjoy the whole of your Christmas Day, your year, your time! If you're reading this and think “oh so and so will be cooking Christmas dinner again like they always do”….why not let them have the day off and someone cook for them for a change! Or even treat the people its so hard to buy for at Christmas, I’m sure they would love a restaurant quality fully cooked Christmas dinner on Christmas Day-without even venturing out of the house!

All the menu is cooked by us so not need to cook anything! All reheating instructions will be included in your box, everything you need to enjoy a beautiful Christmas Day dinner is in your box!

Luxury King prawn cocktail with rich brandy infused Marie Rose sauce,  (1,2,4,7,3,9,13,14)

MAIN EVENT

Turkey crown or Rump of Roast Beef (7)

**Homemade Parsnip, Sage & Apple Wellington (V) (Nut free) (1,2,4,7,13,14,9)

Stuffed with fried parsnips, chestnut mushrooms, lentils, crispy sage, and sweet apple

Goose & beef fat garlic & thyme roasters (7), Creamed mash potatoes (7), Yorkshire Pudding (2,4,7)

Honey & butter roasted carrots & parsnips (7)

Tender stem broccoli (7), Butter roasted sprouts & smoked bacon lardons (7), Pigs in blankets (7,13)

Cauliflower cheese (2,7,13,14), Sausage meat, sage & onion stuffing (1,2,7,13,14)

** Served without any  meat products- vegetarian gravy, vegetarian stuffing, garlic & thyme roasters, no pigs in blankets or lardons.

HOW TO ORDER

You just simply email us at themillbarnsley@gmail.com for an order sheet and send your completed one back to us,  paying via bank transfer or alternatively, you can print the order form off, fill it in and bring it to the Mill during opening hours and make a cash payment ( we don’t accept card payment for our boxes). If paying by bank transfer, please send us a screenshot of the successful transaction. Please put in your reference “CD BOX” so we can allocate your payment to your order. Orders are only confirmed when payment has been received.

 IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Christmas Day Boxes are only available for collection on Christmas Eve between 3pm & 4.30pm- no specific time slots will be given, just collect anytime between these times.

We don’t open on Christmas Day and unfortunately, we cannot do any other time slots so please bare this in mind when ordering.

 Due to huge demand for our Christmas boxes in previous years, we will be taking orders on a first come first served basis-we will not have an order cut off point but will stop accepting orders once our capacity has been reached-updates on availability will be posted on our Facebook page.

Minimum order is 2 people only-there is no maximum order

We operate a No cancellation policy-no refunds will be given for any cancellation-partial or full regardless of when ordered.

 payments are nontransferable and nonrefundable. If you need to change the order name, please just let us know and we will do this for you.

Once your order is placed and payment received, it will be prepared ready for collection on Christmas eve between the designated times slot.

Please make sure you fill in your order sheet correctly, including all information requested.

The price is per person. Cash payments or bank transfers only, no debit or credit card payments. All orders are payable in full on ordering. Your order is only confirmed and secured once full payment has been received.

We cannot accept responsibility for any wrong orders if there has been a mistake made when filling out the order form.

CHECKING YOUR BOX

We do advise you to check your box as soon as you get home after collecting on Christmas Eve to ensure all items are present. You are more than welcome to check the box when you collect, but we cannot be responsible for any missing items if you do not check your box once you have received it on Christmas Eve. We will have a check list of what items we put in the box, but human errors can occur. Please notify us immediately if you are missing any items so we can prepare replacement items for you to collect from the Mill on Christmas Eve-we are not open on Christmas Day. Depending on how many orders you place, boxes may be heavy so you may need some assistance collecting them.

ALLERGENS

All items have numbers at the side of them-these are the allergens contained in the menu item. You can find all information on allergen coding on our website. Please see our Allergen page on our website for numbered allergens. Our kitchen is NOT allergen free, although we take every care to ensure there is no cross contamination, we cannot guarantee it. Please enquire about allergens before placing your order. All items will be in your order; we will not remove items for personal preference.

REHEATING ITEMS ON THE DAY

All the menu is cooked by us so not need to cook anything! All reheating instructions will be included in your box.

All the items to reheat, will come in either foil or microwaveable containers to put in the oven or plastic containers to put in the microwave-foil containers cannot be put in the microwave. How you prefer to heat the items up is your choice, we just recommend what to do for best results. Some items, such as the roasters, may be cooked slightly under so you can finish them off in the oven to get best results. All meats products are fully cooked through and will just need reheating. All items are suitable for consumption on Christmas Day plus 1 day and must be kept refrigerated immediately after collection and at all times before use.
